Why see Netflix Is A Joke Fest - John Mulaney?
Mulaney At the bowl
Netflix has become the go-to streaming service for watching the greatest comedians in the world, with a wealth of exclusive comedy specials keeping us giggling and guffawing 'til the cows come home. Back for 2026 is the streaming giant's Netflix Is A Joke Fest, a week-long celebration of all things comedy, featuring top names alongside up-and-comers at venues across Los Angeles. Don't miss comedian John Mulaney as he returns to the festival with his new show, Mister Whatever!
About John Mulaney
Winner of multiple Emmy and Writer's Guild Awards, Mulaney rose to prominence as an SNL show writer whilst doing stand-up on the NYC circuit. Since leaving the show he has made enough special guest appearances as SNL host to join the hallowed Five-Timers Club. His stand-up routine is built from the razor-sharp comedy writing that first got him noticed on SNL, fusing the surreal with the topical as seen in his comparison of Trump and a horse loose in a hospital, or off-the-wall characterizations like his JJ Bittenbinder bit. More recently his Netflix special Baby J won the award for Best Comedy Special at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards. An air of vulnerability and self-deprecation remains a hallmark of Mulaney's routines, which range from light-hearted, youthful anecdotes about hangovers and bar-hopping to much deeper, intellectual content.
