Beauty and the Beast

Why see Beauty and the Beast?

The Enchanting Tale Comes To you!

One of the most beloved animated films of the Disney canon, the Academy Award-winning fairytale Beauty and the Beast made the step from screen to stage during its Tony Award-winning, record-breaking 13-year Broadway run from 1994 to 2007. Experience its magic and sing along to some of Alan Menken's most memorable songs, including its ever-popular theme as sung by the adorable Mrs. Potts as this local production brings the magic to you!

What is the story?

Stifled by the confines of her small hometown, the intelligent Belle has brains, beauty and most importantly, kindness. Her outward appearance draws the unwanted advances of the handsome yet cruel local hunter, yet another factor that makes her yearn for something more than her 'provincial life'. When her inventor father does not return from an invention fair, she sets off to find him, chancing upon the enchanted castle where her father is held captive by a fearsome beast. Yet all is not as its seems, and Belle meets her destiny with courage and an open heart.

YESSSS! BEST "Beauty and the Beast" production EVER.

As the first reviewer mentioned, I have also seen this show 7 times, over 24 years, including Broadway (post-Susan Egan), The Schubert in L.A., and other professional productions. I was astounded and DELIGHTED throughout -- almost impossible to articulate but so thankful I got to see this one, there will be none better unless they cast everyone exactly the same. Special shout-outs to of course Susan Egan (what a voice, even her speaking voice you just swoon over); Gaston ( Adam Hollick, jaw-dropping amazing in every way); the adorable Beast (well . . . once he took that hot suit off), but holy moly, what a gorgeous voice Jason Chacon!); Lumiere (Marc Ginsburg - PERFECT, as great as Gary Beach, RIP). Mrs. Potts (she was an understudy? Hard to believe); Maurice, Cogsworth, and of course the beleaguered village idiot, Lafou. Not a single weak link in the entire cast. MESMERIZING! ... Read more

Best rendition ever seen!!!

Having seen Beauty and the Beast in NY on Broadway and London's West End I figured I had seen the best.... NOT!!! 5Star Theatricals "Beauty and the Beast" beats them all hands down. From the opening number to the final curtain call every member of this INCREDIBLE cast delights and makes the age old story seem brand new. Special shout out to Susan Egan ( the original Belle on Broadway) who is even better now if that is possible. Also, amazing performances by David Gilchrist who plays Belle's father, Maurice. Gaston, LaFou, Lumiere and Cogsworth are ALL fantastic, and the Beast. And of course, the Beast gives a breathtaking performance. Bravo!! Hope you have amazing success!!! ... Read more
